"Just
A Servant"
W. J. Dawson was prophesied to years ago that one day he would
preach Gods word. He told the prophet that prophesied to him that
he would never preach. Although God had spoken to him at the time
of his mother's death at the age of nine years old, he fought
at every turn to keep the thought of preaching out of his mind.
Many
years passed but every time the subject of preaching Gods word
would come up, he would change the subject. However, he would
always be at the forefront of the civil rights movement in his
home town of Swainsboro, Georgia speaking against injustices and
helping those who were not able to help themselves. He had a special
love for the youth and elderly and would not compromise with local
governments by selling out to keep quiet about those who were
being persecuted.
One
day just like Saul W. J. Dawson found himself at the cross-road
of life. He refused to obey God and found himself at a dead end
with no where to go. God heard his prayer and delivered him, but
still he refused to answer the call to preach. After so many ups
and downs and running from the call to preach, God spoke to W.
J. Dawson about "Beyond The Walls Ministry".
W. J. Dawson
answered the call and became a street minister in his old childhood
neighborhood in Swainsboro, Georgia. and he walked the streets
and told the good news about Jesus Christ, the answer to all our
problems. He did this for three years and revamped a run down
where he grew up as a young boy. He later became pastor of Solomon
Tabernacle of Vidalia, Georgia, where he served as pastor for
four years. As a result of humbling himself, seeking God's face,
turning from his wicked ways, God spoke to him from heaven and
he answered the call once again and founded The Tabernacle of
Praise Church located in Wadley, Georgia. The church held dedication
services on February 4, 2007. God has blessed Tabernacle of Praise
and God is moving in such an awesome way in W. J. Dawson Ministries.
